Backed by some of the biggest names in music and growing fast, we’re seeking a music-obsessed A&R Intern for an unprecedented challenge: keep releases running smoothly for thousands of artists, while finding the best needles in a constantly-growing haystack.

Boomy users have created over 5M original songs, and the velocity of new songs is only increasing. Some of these songs are fantastic, already earning thousands of streams, and empowering a totally new type of music creator. This role is perfect for anyone looking for a non-traditional start to their A&R career. A strong candidate has impeccable musical taste, a strong analytical background, and a knowledge of music industry trends and dynamics. While Boomy is currently remote due to COVID, we have a strong preference for New York City-based candidates who can work with our A&R team in our Brooklyn office. This position is part-time, 8-16 hours per week with flexible hours, with room for growth into a full-time role. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

You will be primarily responsible for:
  • Reviewing a large amount of music and releases made by boomy creators
  • Identifying Boomy’s highest-quality content (music, as well as a derivative video and other content) and creators
And will also have a hand in:
  • Developing and managing direct relationships with top Boomy creators and influencers
  • Creating action plans around how to best draw attention to the best content on Boomy
  • Facilitating partnerships and collaborations with artists
  • Managing social media accounts

  • Deep knowledge of music consumption trends; what people are listening to and why
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and familiarity with pop culture
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and creative
  • Great interpersonal skills, effective communicator
It’s great if you also have:
  • Record label or DSP experience
  • Content creation skills
  • Relationships with artists, tastemakers, and industry professionals
  • Pursuing bachelors or equivalent degree in music industry
